Cooper Man - Best in Show (Puppy)

I just had to share this with everyone because I am such a proud momma! My boy, Cooper, won Best in Show (Puppy) at the UKC show we went to this past Saturday!!!!

We're Baaaaacccckkkk! Plus our Fugly Friends review

Whew! What a month it has been! There have been a lot of changes happening but we are back in action and ready to roll.

In my previous post I talked about how I had just ordered Thomson from Fugly Friends. Let me just say, my boys LOVE him (Leila could care less but she is kid of a fuddy duddy...I love my girlfriend, though!) We received him in the mail a month ago and he still looks great. It is amazing that my two 5 month old pups haven't ripped him to shreds yet :) In the past month they have ripped apart at least 3 toys but not our Fugly Friend, he is still going strong. Thank you, Fugly Friends, for making such awesome toys that our destructive dogs have a little bit harder time destroying!

Fugly Friends Toys

Wordless Wednesday

I just discovered http://www.blogpaws.com/ and am trying Wordless Wednesday for the first time. Here goes nothing!

The Three Stooges

My house is a litte....crazy these days. In 2007 I had the pleasure of getting my first dog, Leila, a Labrador Retriever. She was a gift to me and as they say, free is never really free. You look at this face and think, "Oh, that adorable puppy! I bet she is so sweet!"

And I would respond, "Errrhhh, think again!" This cute adorable puppy was a pain in my rear for the first 3 years of her life. Here, let me count the ways:

1. Attacking mommy while getting a picture taken.

2. Chewing bowls.

3. This picture looks super cute, but she is actually attacking my leg.

2. Ripping apart every paper product she could get her hands on to.

4. Chewing up shoes (notice the chewing trend...it goes along with the puppy territory)

5. Attacking friends.

6. Running around the house like a crazy lady.

7. Digging in the garden.



And then my terror of a puppy finally became an adult. Although I really do think that a piece of the "puppy crazies" festers in a dog's soul just waiting for the right time to re-emerge ;) My terror puppy became a beautiful, well-behaved (ok, well not all the time) girl:

That was when I felt it was time to get another puppy. Yes, I said it, start all over again with every glorious puppy stage. First came Gunnar:

Then came Cooper:

Just call me a glutton for punishment :)

Our first blog!

Hello!

Well, it is about time that we got a blog. We started slow with a website, then an Etsy account, then a Facebook page and now our own blog. I am excited to post about the new and exciting things that we have going on here at Four Black Paws. But I am also excited to post about the awesome things that we are finding from other shops!
